the first concert has come and gone, but there's still one tonight! Heads up though: Photography, cameras and the like are not permitted tonight. It was a first concert priviledge only. (Sorry.) Later on GeoCities.com will be closing down all free hosted websites.

What does this have to do with me, or anyone on my friends list? Simply put, ALL of my websites are going to be closed at that point. This means, my BLOOD websites, and yes, even The Perfect Suicide will be gone. The Perfect Suicide is honestly, the website I am the most upset about being taken down.

Unfortunately, I can not afford to pay for online hosting. So, I am afraid that means, there will be (at this time) no returns or recourse, unless someone finds me an alternative. I don't really have the time to look for other hosting options. I am, honestly, worked half to death at my current job due to under staffing. But yes, if others want to do the "field work", I will consider any suggested options, but they have to be free.

If this means the end for my websites, it's ok. I'll try and figure out a new way to salvage what information and gold nuggets there are. I apologize for what this may do to any SA fans out there. I am sincerely upset by this as well. If it is the end of all things for The Perfect Suicide, then I hope it has helped some of the fans out there, and brought you closer to the vision that this band has offered you all, and that you will continue to support them through LJ, MySpace, VF, Mixi and on their official website.

Any interested parties are welcome to forward this to any SA or BLOOD related sites.

Announcement of withdrawal - message from Yuu

Until now I have played the guitar as well as performed the role of Joshua for Suicide Ali, but as of the completion of our April 18 live show at Holiday Osaka, I will withdraw from the band.
The reason is that, while I have devoted my fullest strength to being a member of Suicide Ali, with each new live show and meeting the desire to broaden my own musical and performing horizons grew stronger. This time I told the other members about these feelings, and after much discussion, we arrived at the conclusion that I should withdraw and we should go our separate ways.
To all the fans who have supported Suicide Ali, I am truly sorry for the abruptness of this announcement, but the decision was made in full optimism by all the members, so I hope you will all understand.
The four of us will only perform live together three more times, but I will put my full strength into each of them just as I always have, so please watch us with the same feelings until the end.

To the fans in America, I couldn't fulfill my promise to perform with Suicide Ali in America again, but I will definitely come back someday with a new band, so please wait for me.

Of course, I want to perform in lots of other countries too.

When that time comes, I hope you'll all be there!

This news was just announced on Suicide Ali's Official Website:

At the Nishikujou Brand New live on February 22, Suicide Ali announced the withdrawal of guitarist Yuu from the band.

The Holiday Osaka live on April 18 will be the last live with Suicide Ali's current member member lineup.
We are very sorry that we had to announce this news so suddenly to everyone who has been supporting us.

However, the decision was agreed upon with full optimism by all the members, so we hope you will continue to support both Yuu and Suicide Ali in the future.

In accordance with this, a live-distributed release of [Seimeisen] and DVD [Memory of four souls] Episode 1&2 will be sold at the April 12 and April 18 live shows.

Small updates

Though I haven't said anything on the website yet, I have been making very, very small, unnoticeable updates to the website. Mainly fixing links and taking down stuff that is no longer applicable. A new layout is on the horizon so I' trying to save the larger updates for that.

I had been considering moving the translated blogs to LiveJournal for over a year now, and tonight after consulting with Becky, we made the move. The big issue was finding a free username. Finally, we decided to just make the accounts under their characters names. Poor Hisashi though... being a 3 letter character still had to have his name used. :P

I'm back!

At any rate, I'm back home safe.
We were too busy to go sightseeing but it was fun.
I'm tired today so I'm going to go sleep now.
I'll write with my impressions tomorrow.

11/06

6:55pm Departed from Osaka Kansai Airport.
4:04pm Arrived in Los Angeles

Time turned backwards thanks to the time difference.
When we got to the airport, we joined up with the American staff members who help out with our webpage and Myspace.
I had met some of them before Suicide Ali existed when I went to Mexico, but it was 3 years ago.
Then the PMX staff came to meet us.
Then Roger showed up after oversleeping.
It was 3 years since I had last seen him too.
We all rode to the hotel together.
In the evening we went to a bar set up for maniac football and basketball fans.
I got more steak and potatoes than I could finish eating.
They brought me a glass of cola so huge I sort of freaked out.

It was warm in LA, so I was able to spend most of it in a long-sleeved T-shirt.
The sky was so blue and spacious.

Pacific Media Expo 2008
Our sound check came to a sloppy start with some weird American jokes mixed in around 4:00pm.
My guitar was a Bacchus Les Paul. My effectors were a Korg tuner, Crybaby wah-wah pedal, MXR phase90, Beheringer UM300 Ultra Metal
Amp was a Fender Twin Reverb (rented)
With a Twin Reverb amp I felt like Kurt Cobain.

The live started around 9:00pm.

To add to yesterday's entry, we had two opening bands before our live.

Starting at 10am on the 8th we had an in-store(?) event in the form of a Q&A→relocate→in-store→relocate→photo session→relocate→interview→in-store→TV(?

) interview→interview. ...I don't know anymore.
I think it was all over sometime before 7pm?

Around midnight we crashed.
Good work.

Changing the subject, but (something about The Golden Spider's Akuma Kouchiku Ron... sorry, he lost me here)

11/09 last day in LA

Woke up around 7.
Had an in-store signing and photo session at the Cure booth starting at 10.
Around the lunch hour we had about five? interviews.
After that we went by car to the location for our photoshoot.
We arrived at the location in the evening while looking at the Hollywood sign in the distance.
The photoshoot ended and we went back to the hotel.
Had dinner in the hotel and went to a party starting around 10pm.
Checked out at 4:00 the next morning

It was a really busy 3 days, but it was a really good time meeting so many new people.

I'll come again!

We're back~

We're back home. Ah~. It's Japan...

We were pretty busy in Los Angeles since we had such a hard schedule, but it was so much fun!! I'll talk more about that later. *laugh*

To everyone who came to see us, thank you. I'm truly grateful. And the local staff was also very good to us. Thank You!

So for now I'm going to take the Rapi:t (rapid train) home.

Hello~

We're back~.
We made it back safely from LA! (Though it was actually the 11th when we got back, but...)

We didn't get to go out just for fun at all since we were on such a hard schedule, but the LA performance was really fun!

Being able to meet the fans in this country that was previously unknown to me and communicate with them at the signing sessions and stuff made me really happy.
It was a really precious experience to me.

As for what everyone is probably wondering about most, the live... it was honestly really frustrating... but there was nothing I could do except be filled with an anger that I didn't know where to release.
But thanks to the fans who came from Japan to see us, and all the American fans, somehow or other I was able to keep going.
When everyone in the hall started chanting my name for me during the encore, I felt pathetic for being so depressed and angry over something like that.

I wonder if the people who were at the concert are reading this...
It's thanks to all of you that I was able to recover. I'm truly grateful to you all. Thank you.

And Roger, I'm really sorry for worrying you so much. Thank you for being so encouraging throughout the live!

Becky, Tiffany, Reiko, and Morrigan helped out a lot too.

Purpose

This blog has been created to alert people of updates on Suicide Ali and for the fansite The Perfect Suicide. I decided to create this because I did not want everyone feeling they must frequent my Livejournal for such updates.

While the updates will be listed on the website as well, this blogger is to prove as a more "real time" experience. I will gladly accept submissions from fans to display here as well.
